Support CAAAV's organizing to reclaim New York City for working class immigrants!
Founded in 1986, CAAAV: Organizing Asian Communities organizes working class Asian immigrants and youth in key New York City neighborhoods on the frontlines of gentrification. In 2025, we won a historic campaign for a four-year citywide rent freeze, building off decades of organizing and wins against billionaire real estate developers. Through organizing that is intergenerational, multiethnic, and majority women/nonbinary, CAAAV develops Asian immigrant leaders of broader movements. Our goal is to challenge the real estate industry’s political influence and shift the long-term political landscape of the city and state, so that working class people make decisions over their own homes and neighborhoods.
